Warm, soft, and tender his voice
The surfacing feelings were not by choice.
His words a shovel, digging deep down
To places in her others had not found.
Trying to resist letting him in
To her deep dark mystery within.
The battle steady for she did fight
Not to let all of her come into sight.
many had left right after they'd come;
Keeping her attention was too hard for some.
But this one was different, not at all the same
She had nowhere to hide, no one to blame.
Each day unlocked more and more
Things she'd never experienced before.
She wondered if truth would make him stay
Or just like the others, scare him away.
The passion, the fire, the sweet gentle side,
The anger, the jealousy that made others hide.
She was all this, but afraid to stand tall;
Could anyone handle seeing it all?
With him she'd share her spot in the sun
