There are angels,
angels among us
Watching over us
day and night
To comfort us each
through all the bad
And stand us up
to face the fight.
We may believe or
we may not,
But they are there
to hold our hand.
When life's struggles
seem to much,
They guide us through
unknown land.
When we hurt and
when we cry,
They are there to
ease our pain-
To let us know that
someone cares,
And point out what
we have to gain.
Perhaps they'll
light a pathway
That leads us from
wrong to right,
Because sometimes
we take a wrong turn
When the obvious
answer is not the one in sight.
And when your heart
is hurting
And your hope is
taken away-
Your trust has all
been broken,
They give you faith
for one more day.
Just a kind word
or a simple smile
When our lives seem
so unfair,
Will let you know
there are angels among us
Carrying us on a
wing and a prayer.
